The surgeon Diego Mancini moves to Puglia where he falls in love with Elena, a woman who is divorcing and who has a daughter, Anna. Together they have a child, Paolo, and when the divorce is complete and they are about to get married, the child is diagnosed with heart disease. The only hope of salvation is a transplant, but there is already a girl on the list, and she is at the crossroads. Diego’s priority is to save his son at all costs, even at the cost of betraying the oath linked to his profession. He thus becomes the doctor of a fugitive boss, putting his family in danger and slipping into a whirlwind of blackmail.

Il chirurgo Diego Mancini si trasferisce in Puglia dove si innamora di Elena, una donna che sta divorziando e che ha una figlia, Anna. Insieme hanno un bambino, Paolo, e, quando il divorzio è completo e stanno per sposarsi, al bambino viene diagnosticata una cardiopatia. L’unica speranza di salvezza è un trapianto, ma c’è già una ragazzina in lista, e si trova al bivio. La priorità di Diego è quella di salvare il figlio a tutti i costi, anche a costo di tradire il giuramento legato alla sua professione. Diventa così il medico di un boss latitante, mettendo in pericolo la famiglia e scivolando in un vortice di ricatti.
